  • Watercolor Paper: Multipe sheets of Saunders Waterford 100% cotton, 300g/m2, cold pressed - CP (NOT). Or a paper of similar quality. - Sergei: "This is my favourite paper, the type of watercolor paper you use is very important, ideally we should use one kind of paper to get similar results and pigment reactions. I use CP (NOT) paper from the Saunders Waterford range, marked with the blue rectangle - it means 'white' paper, not 'high white' paper as there is a big difference."

  • Pencils

  • Palette

  • Watercolour Brushes: a selection.

  • Watercolour Paints - Sergei: "It is good idea to take more pigments than necessary. I use a lot of the following colors: indigo, olive green, yellow ochre, naples yellow, burnt sienna, ochre red, cobalt blue, cerulean blue, ultramarine blue, English green (or yellow green), cadmium yellow, raw sienna, cadmium red and rose (permanent or opera). You are welcome to bring your preferred colors, either in tubes or in pans. I use both types of pigments."

  • Easel - Sergei: "I recommend that you bring your own watercolor plein air tripod easel, there are many affordable options on the market."

We will provide half-box french easels for those who do not bring their own easel.
